Makhteshim-Agan Industries (MAI) has opened a new pesticide formulation and packaging plant at Dahej in the western Indian state of Gujarat. Italian agrochemical company Isagro (Milan) is restructuring its business model to return to a more research and development focus. The company has launched a joint venture with Chemtura, focusing on R&D, and divested Brazilian and Italian assets (see this issue).
