It is a suspension concentrate formulation for the control of grasses and broadleaf weeds on maize. The authorities have granted a three-year approval. Currently named TCM 4-Way, the product combines three proven modes of action for the control of grasses and broadleaf weeds in spring and durum wheat, Bayer says. Bayer CropScience has launched a new maize herbicide in the US based on two recently introduced active ingredients. Capreno (tembotrione 346 g/litre + thiencarbazone-methyl 68 g/litre) is a post-emergence product, with residual activity, for the control of more than 65 grass and broadleaf weeds, Bayer points out. The company is making a restricted introduction this year, with nationwide sales expected in 2011.
